JOURNALETTEā„¢ SHAPES

Included on this CD are the same Journalette shapes found in the PC version of this program. The idea of the Journalettes is to create your own custom journaling tags using the shape and font style of your choice. For example:

To create Journalettesā„¢ using the shapes included, you will need to open an image and add text to it using a word processing or desktop publishing program. Following is an example of creating a Journalette using the Apple Works word processing program. Although other programs may differ slightly in the process, the general idea is the same.

1. Start Apple Works and select the Drawing option.
2. Go to File, Insert. Select the Journalettes folder and shape of your choice.
3. Position and size the shape on the page.
4. Click the text tool (looks like a capital A) and draw a text box inside the shape by dragging the text pointer across the screen. Type your text inside the text box using the font style and size of your choice. This example was made using the CK Journaling font.
5. Print the completed Journalette image.

Other word processors, such as Microsoft Word, sometimes require you to adjust the text wrap so the text displays behind an image, thus creating the effect of the text being inside the shape.
